Is God communicating today through dreams and visions? 12/15/2023
On the Day of Pentecost, Peter said, “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:16-17). Is this happening today?

Babylon the Great 9/19/2021

The Times and the Seasons 6/15/2021
God is indeed the great appointer of times and seasons. He appointed the time of the Flood exactly to the day. He appointed the exact day that Isreal would go forth from their bondage out of Egypt. He appointed the exact timing of the presentation of Israel's Messiah. He has appointed a time for the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel. And "he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." (Acts 17:31)

Over All the Earth 4/16/2021
The Lord promised His Kingdom would soon come, and His will be done on earth as in heaven. In this article we will review briefly what happened in the beginning of the creation when God gave Adam to have dominion over all the earth. Adam was to reign over all the earth, but that got interupted by sin and death entering the world. Death now reigns over man, and all are subject to death because of sin. Satan subtly usurped the kingdoms of this world, but there was the promise of restoration by One who would be "Seed of the woman". When Jesus came preaching "the kingdom of heaven is at hand", they crucified Him whose right it is to sit upon the everlasting throne of David, and as a result, the Kingdom was postponed. But the promise of God cannot be thwarted, and the Kingdom shall come when Christ returns in glory. Jesus conquered death and the grave when He died for our sins and rose again from the grave and has "the keys of Hell and death" (Revelation 1:18). The key to the Kingdom is the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Be sure you understand and believe the Gospel and you shall be saved. The death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead guarantees the fulfillment of all God's promises concerning our own salvation, resurrection and everlasting life. "Because I live," He said, "ye shall live also" (John 14:19).

The Parable of the Fig Tree 12/3/2020
The Bible tells us, "that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?" (2 Peter 3:3-4) It has been 2 millennia since Christ rose from the dead and ascended back to heaven, nevertheless, God can not lie. Jesus is coming again! His disciples asked, "What shall be the sign of your coming?" (Matthew 24:3) This month's article will deal specifically with that question, and what is the greatest sign of His soon return.

WE MUST SEE AMERICA THROUGH GOD'S EYES 8/8/2020
The Day of the Lord is soon approaching. The Lord says, “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible… Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger… For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” (Isaiah 13:11-13; 26:21) The Bible tells us that man is “treasur[ing] up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds” (Romans 2:5-6). What shape do you think America is in today?

Afraid to Understand - HMM 8/5/2020
In the Scriptures, the Lord says what He means and means what He says. So many today refuse to take God's Word literally often spiritualizing it to make it more palatable. This almost always leads to error and false doctrine. Nevertheless, the Lord means exactly what He says in His Word and a refusal to accept His plain speach is more than likely a sure sign of unbelief.

All May Come - GNC 4/15/2020
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (1 Timothy 1:15-16) Salvation is free and available to all, even the chief of sinners, who come to the Lord Jesus Christ for pardon and cleansing of sin.

The Gospel - GNC 4/5/2020
Be sure you and your family are saved. The Philippian jailer asked the apostle Paul, “what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:30-31). Salvation is a free gift (Romans 6:23) that cannot be merited in any way, by anything that you can or must do, or any promises you might make for the future. Salvation comes NOT by any works of righteousness that you may have done (Titus 3:5). It comes totally by God's GRACE (unmerited favor) apart from works on your part (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation comes by FAITH ALONE (Galatians 3:11), when you believe the GOSPEL (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and trust in Jesus Christ to save you from your sin (Matthew 1:21).

What do you mean Repent? - GNC 4/3/2020
We often hear from others when they are preaching the gospel to the lost say, “repent and believe the gospel”. But if the messenger has not given a definition to the word “repent” or does not define the “gospel”, the audience is left to fill in their own definition of the words. They may be very agreeable with your statement (after all, it is a quote right out of the Bible), but have a totally different understanding of what it means to “repent and believe the gospel”.

Globalism - GNC 3/23/2020
The Last Days endgame is unraveling before our very eyes, just as the Bible predicted. The God of the Bible declared long ago, "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure" (Isaiah 46:9-10). Jesus said, "Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he." (John 13:19) "And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe." (John 14:29)

Children of the Devil - GNC 1/14/2020

Who is the woman's Seed? There is more to this verse than at first meets the eye. This one verse is really a summation of the long war against God and its Victor.

Bible Versions: Video 1/14/2020
The Devil is a deceiver and a liar. Right from the very beginning he tried to deceive by corrupting God's Word. God had said, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis 2:17) The Serpent then set out to cast doubt on God's Word saying, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" (Genesis 3:1) He then outright denied God's Word saying, "Ye shall not surely die" (Genesis 3:4). Satan hates God's Word, and when He saw that he could not destroy the Incarnate Word of God, he turned his attack on the written Word of God. He set out to keep it from men, and when this did not work, he set out to corrupt it. Nevertheless, God promised He would preserve His Word forever (Psalm 12:6-7, Matthew 24:35; 5:18). Let me ask, why are there so many versions of the English Bible today? Does this help Scripture memorization? Does this make it easy to follow along with the man in the pulpit when everyone has a different version? Why are the Bible versions so different from one another? Did you know that all the modern versions of the Bible are owned and copyrighted by big money making corporations? Did you know that the text has to be changed considerably in order to get your copyright dollars? Did you know that there is One Bible that is free and not copyrighted? Did you know that God sealed His Word with a deadly condemnation to all who would try to corrupt His Word (Revelation 22:19-21)? Well, here is a condensed video that will give you an educated idea of what Bible we should be reading from today. "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren..." (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Sadly, most in the churches today are ignorant of this fundamental device of Satan (2 Corinthians 2:11).

The Tabernacle of David - GNC 7/26/2019
At the present time, Christ is seated at the right hand of God (Romans 8:34, Colossians 3:1, Hebrews 10:12-13; 1 Peter 3:22), but when He physically “returns”, He “will build again the tabernacle of David”. At the time James quoted the above text from the prophet Amos, the “tabernacle of David”, was “fallen down”, and in “ruins”, but it shall be “built again” and “set up”. He says, “After this I will return”. After what? In the context, it is after God is done visiting the Gentiles (nations), and taking out of them a people for His name. The text implies an interlude, where the tabernacle of David is temporarily set aside, while God takes out of the Gentiles a people for His name.

The Amazing Prophecy of Hosea - GNC 6/20/2019
This article is from a series that deals with the strong delusion that God has cast away the nation Israel forever and has permanently replaced them with the church. This lie has invaded many assemblies within the evangelical, fundamental and Baptist churches, who believe that they are now Israel. It is one of the greatest heresies to infect the church in these last days. This is an old heresy that the Lord brought to the attention of the church at Smyrna and Philadelphia (Revelation 2:9; 3:9). Its proliferation today goes back to Augustine and the Roman Catholic Church. Sadly, many of the reformers brought this replacement theology out from Rome which has resulted in many of the strong anti-Semitic tendencies which can be observed in them. They seem to be ignorant how they are aiding and abetting Satan, who in the last days, will come in his wrath seeking to destroy the newly regathered nation of Israel from the four corners of the earth, whom God will use to fulfill all His promises of the Kingdom. They are certainly delusional and resist the truth.

Did the Ten Tribes of Israel get Lost? - GNC 2/12/2019
Many today believe that the ten tribes of Israel who were carried away into Assyrian Captivity became lost and can no longer be identified today. This could not be further from the truth. Sadly many in evangelical circles are clinging to a false teaching that is named "Replacement Theology". This article will clear up any confusion as to whether God has replaced Israel with the Church. He clearly has not, and will never break the covenant that He made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and their descendants.

Clay and Iron (Daniel 2:43) - GNC 11/21/2018
Many have pondered who "they" are in Daniel 2:43. There have been lots of interpretations as to who “they” are, who “shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another” (aliens, nephilim, Islam, demons, the church, democracy, etc) . I would submit that there is a good possibility that “they” may refer to the Jews. They would not mix with the nations. Although they would mingle themselves with the nations in the iron kingdom, they would not cleave one to the other.

After the Tribulation - GNC 10/21/2018
What was Jesus talking about when He spoke about "the tribulation"? What did He say would happen immediately after the tribulation of those days? There are many popular videos out on the internet that deal with this topic, but sadly a good number of them are promoting an anti-semitic view of God's Word. While Jesus was speaking about what would come to pass in the last days, it is not always the easiest thing to discern those prophetic portions of the Scripture, especially when they have not yet come to pass. Some believe the Church is in view, while others believe it is Israel, but as always, context is key, and when interpreting, the whole counsel of God needs to be considered. We believe there should be an arena where we can talk about these things which must shortly come to pass, so please feel free to leave your comments at the bottom of the page.

A Brief History Primer - GNC 8/28/2018
This message is taken from the article "Is the Rapture Mentioned in the Revelation?" While this generation is being "dumbed down" in the education system of our day in regards to history in general, and that liar, the Devil, is deceiving the nations on origins in particular, it has resulted in a generation that has become indifferent to the Bible when it speaks the truth of our real origin and true history. We need to be prpared to give an answer to the lost and deceived of this world for the hope that is in us. There is a strong delusion that is sweeping the land and it is incumbent upon the believer in our crucified and risen Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, not only to preach the gospel among all nations, but compel those who are perishing to enter into a life that is far more abundant than anything this perishing world has to offer. A life of hope, and joy and peace and praise, with an ernest looking forward to the everlasting Kingdom that is soon coming to planet earth, in mighty power at the Revelation of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Are you watching for Him today? Are you occupying your time, in the circle where God has placed you for His glory? Is Christ the center where your affection is stayed? Have you put your hope in the promises of the only true God who cannot lie? If not, I pray this brief history primer will get you focused and back on track, and in line with true reality with a greater future beyond the grave, with real hope in the everlasting Kingdom of God that Jesus Christ is preparing for those that love Him.

Matthew 24 - GNC 6/10/2018
This is written to refute the variations of the post-trib camps, who believe that the church is now Israel, who reject that there is any future for the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That all of Gods promises to Israel are now null and void concerning Jerusalem, the land and the kingdom. In watching their videos, reading their books, blogs and websites, I find that their false teaching emanates primarily from their misinterpretation and misapplication of Matthew 24, and all the other Scriptures must be wrested to fit that narrative. Hence, this brief commentary is intended primarily for those within that camp with a willingness to reason from the Scriptures, and who can sense that something is not right in their affiliation with those groups. For convenience, Scripture text of Matthew 24 is highlighted in red.

The Heresy of Replacement Theology - GNC 4/15/2018
Has God cast away His people Israel? Is a Christian a Jew? Is the church now Israel? Well, that is what some think, that God has no future plans for the nation Israel, that is, the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who are the Twelve Tribes of Israel. This brief article takes a look into this controversy which has loomed since the second century when Israel was scattered among the nations of the world. It would be well if people paid close attention to what the apostle Paul said, "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." (Romans 11:25)

Radiometric Dating 1/29/2018
Does radiometric dating prove that the earth is millions of years old? If the earth is millions of years old, the Bible is wrong. We might well then just eat, drink and be merry as before long we will be turned back to the very elements from which we were made. However, if the radiometric dating methods do not reflect the truth about the alleged long geological ages, and the earth is not millions of years old, evolution, which needs millions of years for it to work, is false. It would mean that the Bible is true and that we are sinners in need of repentance and salvation.

Cultural Factors in the Weakening of Churches - By David Cloud 10/28/2017
The Bible teaches us that in the last days many would fall away from the faith. How many churches have closed their doors and their buildings been re-purposed or have turned lukewarm and have lost their zeal for the things of God! And today, how many testimonies have we heard of parents who are Christian but their children have turned to the world with all its carnal pleasures it has to offer and totally abandon any resemblance of the faith. These stories are more numerous today than they ever were. Why is this? In this article we will find several factors that have helped to contribute to this fall, and they more than likely started with the parents. There is a very real war going on today, not with guns and bombs. It is with philosophies, and deception, and subtleties, and devicies that prey on the flesh. The Devil is deceiving the nations wholesale today. Be aware, be prepared, be not ignorant, be not deceived, as he is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

Lessons from a Hurricane - By David Cloud 9/16/2017

He upholds all things by the word of His power (Heb. 1:3). By Him all things consist (Col. 1:17). He “hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm” (Nahum 1:3).

This was the first question Saul of Tarsus (who became Paul the apostle) had for the Lord after he had "seen the Light" on the road to Damascus.  Down through the ages, many of the saints have often wondered as the apostle Paul, "What wilt thou have me to do Lord?" A precise and simple list is obviously out of the question. So in these notes, I thought instead to make mention of just one instruction that the Bible has much to speak on.

He Who Was Rich Became Poor - By John Phillips 2/23/2017
We know He was rich, but we have no idea how rich He really was. We get some idea, however, from what John tells us of the Celestial City. In His country they pave their streets with gold and build their walls of jasper. They make their gates of pearl and stud foundation's rocks with gems. The great white throne of God is there, the crystal stream, the tree of life. Many crowns are placed upon His head in that celestial land. His ministers are flames of fire, comprised of countless angel hosts, beings of great beauty, intelligence, and power, who hang upon His words and rush to do His will. Enormous galaxies, ablaze with stars and pulsating with energy, hurtle through the vast voids of space at His command. They are all empires of His. Billions upon billions of worlds hold their treasure troves for Him. He was rich all right, but, still, we have not yet seen His riches and so we have no idea how rich He really was.

Taking the Name of the Lord - GNC 12/30/2016
“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7)
Is the 3rd Commandment of the Ten just a prohibition on using the Lord's name when cursing? We would have to agree that this is certainly included in this commandment. It would also include swearing falsely by His name or profaning His name (Leviticus 19:12). It would also include blaspheming His Name (Leviticus 24:16; James 2:7). But we think it goes far beyond using the name of the Lord in such manners.

What Happens When I Die? - GNC 12/10/2016
Job asked several poignant questions? “But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?” And, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:10, 14) We have all observed what happens to the physical body of flesh at death, but what about the spirit or soul of man, that is no physical. It is not physical so cannot physically die. The Bible has the only clear answer on this and it is critical for all to know and understand as it affects the eternal future of every living human being.

Dwelling Safely in the Land of Unwalled Villages - GNC 11/27/2016
For the students of Scripture, who believe we are living in the Latter Days, Ezekiel chapters 36-39 is speaking volumes today. It speaks of the a time when the nation Israel is gatherd back into their homeland after "many days" captivity in the nations of the world. "After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them." (Ezekiel 38:8) There is much discussion as to the timing of the War of Gog, whether it happens prior to, or during the days of the tribulation. Although prophecy may be hard to discern prior to its fulfillment,These things are written for your consideration.

Is God Raising the Dead Today? - GNC 11/21/2016
This is the claim of many, largely within Charismatic circles, who have made claims of someone, somewhere, who is raising the dead. These individuals are always in some remote part of the earth, that is inaccessible to most so one is almost always unable to verify the claim. I have personally been confronted by a few of these proponents, and this always seems to be the case. However, I believe the Bible clearly indicates that the days of miracle performing men have passed with the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ and the departing of His apostles. Some may call this the "heresy of cessation" but what do the Scriptures say?

Does Salvation Make a Difference? - David Cloud 2/3/2016
With great numbers of people claiming to be saved who have not experienced spiritual change, it has become difficult for men to know what salvation really is. Does salvation in Christ Jesus mean anything? Does it make a difference? There are a great many people in America and other parts of the world who claim to trust in Christ, but show no love for God, for His Word, His people, or His ways. Oftentimes these have the idea that their mental assent toward the fact that Christ died for their sins is their ticket to Heaven. They agree that Heaven would be a good place to go when they die, and they say they believe that Jesus died for their sins so they can go there someday. Beyond this, they have little or no present interest in spiritual matters. What does the Bible say regarding such?

Is the God of the Old Testament Cruel - David Cloud 1/10/2016
Unbelievers have long used Israel's destruction of pagan nations in Canaan as evidence that the God of the Old Testament is unjust and cruel. However, those who charge God with injustice and cruelty for punishing wicked nations are hypocritical, because they themselves believe in law and order and support the punishment of those who commit crimes such as rape, theft, child molestation, and murder, particularly when those crimes are committed against them and their loved ones. Those who charge God with injustice and cruelty ignore the fact that God Himself paid the price demanded of His own holy law so that men can be saved. The whole tenor of Scripture teaches that God delights in mercy more than in punishment. He "is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). What He loves above all is mercy and what He is above all is a Saviour, but men must repent and turn to Him.

The Gospel of Salvation 12/17/2015
Of late I have been recognizing the increasing numbers of “evangelical ministries” that are watering down the gospel message. While many presentations are excellent when expounding various Bible teachings, when it comes time to the present the gospel, it often runs like this. “Understand that you are a sinner and trust the Saviour and you will receive the forgiveness of sins, and everlasting life. They are then oftentimes led in a prayer of faith to acknowledge their sin and to receive Jesus into their heart.” Sounds good, but is this the gospel of Salvation?

Vegetarianism, Climate Change, World Government and Taxes 11/28/2015
There is a new trend that is ramping up in popularity today, that is vegetarianism. But what does that have to do with Climate Change, World Government and Taxes? The Bible is clear, "that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron ... commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth..." Last Days Prophecies 11/1/2015
There are many Scriptures that speak of and identify the "last days", "latter times", "time of the end", "last time", "that day", etc., all pointing to that time period just prior to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, when He comes to set up His long awaited for Kingdom here on earth. Here is just a sampling of identifying characteristics that points to the day in the midst of which we live, with brief notes on each point.

My Two Witnesses 09/30/2015
This is a brief dissertation as to the identity of the Two Witnesses and their ministry as spoken of in the book of Revelation. Some believe it is Enoch and Elijah. Some believe it is Moses and Elijah. Others believe that John the Baptist fulfilled the prophecies concerning the coming of Elijah. It should be noted that prophecies, when not yet fulfilled, can sometimes be difficult to interpret. So when we search out the matter, it is therefore necessary to search the whole council of God, and leave room for the possibility that we may not have it entirely right.

The Origin of Pyramids 07/21/2015

And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. The Importance of Reading - Henry Morris 07/21/2015
In this video age, Christians are in grave danger of forgetting the importance of reading. The word translated "reading" in this verse is the Greek anagnosis, a compound word meaning essentially "renewed knowledge." A sermon or lecture is knowledge heard; an educational film or video is knowledge seen; but reading is knowledge that can be read, rehearsed, reviewed, and renewed again and again, until fully and securely learned. In fact, it is necessary for students to take notes, even when hearing a sermon or seeing a film, if they expect to retain any knowledge received by such means.

The God-Man - By John Stock 5/19/2015
Unitarians, Jehovah Witness, Muslims, and many other cults today cling to the Socinian view that rejects the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus of Nazareth was not mere man, excelling others in purity of life and conduct and in sincerity of purpose, simply distinguished from other teachers by the fullness of His knowledge. He is the God-man. Such view of the person of Messiah is the assured foundation of the entire Scriptural testimony to Him, and it is to be irresistibly inferred from the style and strain in which He habitually spake of Himself. What Will The Future Bring? 1/20/2015
A Prophetic Timeline of the Future. Today we have the most valuable record of history and eternity given to us by our God and Creator that we might know with certainty, not only the things which have already come to pass, but those things which also are most assuredly to come to pass in the future. We have endeavoured therefore in this article to present a list of those things which are believed among us that are not yet fulfilled but nigh on the horizon, and have set them in order from a pre-trib, pre-millenial point of view. This list is a work in progress and contains a comment section at the bottom, so feel free to get in on the conversation.

The Days of Lot 27/7/2014
Christ said, “...as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30) What happen in the days of Lot is yet another startling sign of the times as to our living in the last days. Many of you are well aware of the current situation in the midst of which we live, but for the sake of those who are not sure what the Bible says on this issue we are including it in our update.

Many modern translations omit the phrase "without a cause" in this verse (NIV, NASB, LB, TEV, etc.), but the phrase does occur in over 99.5 percent of all the Greek manuscripts, and thus clearly should be retained. This little phrase is the key to understanding this question.

Deception in the Church - Noel Chartier 1/14/2012
In the world today there are many things, outside the church, to ever so subtly draw believers away from Christ. The “cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful” (Mark 4:19). Carnal pleasures and worldly lusts abound, and many are the philosophies (Colossians 2:8) of the world that would seek to uproot believers from the faith and lead them away from the truth of God's Word. If that is not enough, the Bible indicates that within the “church” there would be no safe refuge from the flood of false teaching and deception. Furthermore, the Bible indicates that these pressures that weigh on every believer would only get worse as we move towards the end of the age before Christ returns in His glory.

Babylon and the Church Today - Noel Chartier 9/30/2009
We have seen the sore displeasure of the Lord when Israel began to mix the Babylonish religion of the Gentiles with the worship of the One true God. The Gentile nations were formed at Babel when they turned from their Creator and began to worship the creation. God then confused their language and scattered them throughout the whole world. How often He implored Israel not to intermingle with them, nor to imitate their ways, but they refused to hearken. After many years of longsuffering, the Lord finally removed his hedge of protection from Israel and their enemies came and destroyed their city and slew its inhabitants, and those who escaped the edge of the sword were led away into captivity.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not, and commands the same holiness among His people today (1 Peter 1:15-16). As He admonished Israel in the past, He admonishes the church today saying, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

Live Honestly - Henry Morris 9/17/2009
"Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly." (Hebrews 13:18)
It ought to go without saying that a Christian should live honestly in all things. For the sake of one's Christian testimony before other men, it is vital that utter honesty must characterize his life. Even if men cannot see our little acts of dishonesty, God can, and so even our secret actions must be "providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men" (2 Corinthians 8:21).

Who is the Woman of Revelation 17? - Noel Chartier 8/13/2009
As with many of the prophetic Scriptures, they have a near and far fulfilment. Some aspects of a prophecy may be fulfilled in one generation while other portions of the same prophecy await a future fulfilment (e.g. Olivet Discourse). Some of the Scriptures are also figurative or symbolic, therefore, it is incumbent upon the student of Scripture to discern the difference, or rightly divide the Word of Truth, for there is a real danger of spiritualizing or interpreting the Scriptures rather than taking the plain sense of the text in its context, thereby allowing God to say what He means.
The vast majority of the reformers believed that the woman of Revelation 17 represented Roman Catholicism. They believed this for what appears to be very valid reasons and this conviction has continued on till this day, primarily among those who would consider themselves to be fundamental Christians. However, there are several factors that indicate that this woman cannot be Rome but is clearly revealed as “that great city Babylon” (Revelation 18:10) which we will summarize in the following ten points.

High Gods of Primitive Peoples - Noel Chartier 7/4/2009
Since Darwin published his Theory of Evolution, it has undertook to supplant real history. Its influence has negatively affected humanity like no other doctrine. History is now looked upon from a naturalistic worldview that has a tendency to analyze everything from an evolutionary or humanistic perspective rather than a Biblical view of world history. When examining religion, the evolutionary view states that religion arose from a primitive animistic culture that ascended up to a plurality of gods and finally monotheism. They assume that the more bestial and ugly must be the oldest, and the better in each case must be the higher and therefore the later stage of development. But does this fit the facts of history?
The evolutionary view of the origin of religion dominated almost the entire nineteenth century, however, Andrew Lang, who originally believed that the origin of religion was animism, after his own researches in ethnology, became familiar with high gods among primitive peoples and began to change his view on the origin of religion.
He proposed what may be called the “historical view” which begins with civilized people and degenerates back to savages. When we take the historical view and cast our eyes over the history of our subject we see the same data as the evolutionist but a reverse order in which those religions were actually and historically developed.
The historical evidence of religion is that of degeneration, for as far back as we can look, to the oldest tribes ethnologically speaking, we find one common element, a high God who is considered supreme above all other gods, the Creator and Maker of heaven and earth, the first cause of all that is, who is from time immemorial, beyond memory, and who loves mankind.

This baptism is accomplished in the Spirit for every genuine believer, Jew or Gentile, slave or master, male or female, young or old. Furthermore, the passage is actually in the past tense: "In one Spirit were we all baptized into one body." This baptism does not take place repeatedly in one's life, as may be true of the "filling" of the Spirit, but once, at the time of true conversion.

False Prophets And True - Henry Morris 2/19/2009
"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many" (Matthew 24:11)
In the apostolic period, two main gifts of the Spirit were those of the apostle and prophet. In fact, the church itself was "built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets" (Ephesians 2:20). One function of these men was to receive and transmit God's revelation to His people—first verbally, then eventually written in permanent form in the New Testament. "Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit" (Ephesians 3:5).

Is Alcoholism a Disease - Dave Hunt 11/6/2008
"...be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18)
A 25 minute discussion on drunkeness, alcoholism, and Alcoholics Annonymous. An excellent and gracious expose that compares the teaching of the Scriptures with the program called Alcoholics Annonymous. An important discussion, perhaps more so today than ever before, when multitudes, at an ever increasing younger age, are turning to drugs and alcohol (the most misused drug of them all). Many are seeking help from addictions programs such as AA, so it is very important to have a clear understanding of what founder Bill Wilsons program, called Alcoholics Annonymous, actually teaches. Is drunkeness a sickness, disease, or addiction? The Bible calls it "sin" which is rebellion against God and our Creator.
Many today are making their own wine and it is becoming more and more popular to have "a glass of wine" so to say, upon almost any occasion, to obtain the mind altering high that it gives. It is more toxic (12-25% alcohol) than beer (5%) or hardstuff (40% - one ounce is usually diluted in an 8 oz. glass = 5%) and therefore the prefered drink of winos and drunkards. But "Be not deceived ... [no] drunkard ... shall inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).       Consider the saints down through the ages. Daniel "would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank" (Daniel 1:8). Jesus said that there was none greater than John the Baptist "For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink" (Luke 1:15). If a Christian thinks that it is OK to be indulgent with wine, perhaps we should consider some of the guideposts laid down in Scripture before we make our decisions:
      The act has positive value and is, without question pleasing to the Lord (Romans 14:23; 1 Corinthians 10:23; Colossians 4:5);
      The act is consistent with our new life in Christ (Colossians 3:1-4; 2 Timothy 2:4; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15);
      We can sense the positive leading of the indwelling Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Galatians 5:16-18);
      The act will not diminish our Christian influence (Romans 14:13, 21; 1 Corinthians 8:8-13; 1 Thessalonians 5:22);
      The act does not pose a danger of our becoming addicted to it (1 Corinthians 6:12; Ephesians 5:18; James 1:14-15);
      It can be done consistently with the example set by Jesus (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6; Philippians 2:5);
It can be done in confidence that it brings glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:23).
"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1).

Cries of the Silenced - By Gloria R. Brooks 10/13/2007
A sobering poem concerning the dreadful abortion issues that face our nations today. How long will it be before God will avenge these precious souls who were robbed of their chance at life as God intended it to be? As in the days of Noah, the Lord will not strive forever with man, but as the Lord tarries, these extended days can only answer to His longsuffering and patience, not willing that any should perish, even those professional doctors who partake in these attrocious acts. Like all believers, they must repent and acknowledge the grace and mercy that has been showed us in His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who bore all our sins, all the sins of murder and such alike, and nailed them to the tree, shedding His own precious blood for us. May they see that not only is the blood of millions of babies on their hands, but the blood of Christ also who bore the penalty for all their murders, making way for a free pardon through faith in His death and ressurrection.

Apostles and Prophets - By Noel Chartier 7/11/2007

John told us in the Revelation that there are those “which say they are apostles, and are not” (Revelation 2:2). In his epistle, John also told us to “try the spirits whether they are of God” (1 John 4:1). The church in Ephesus did just that, they “tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars” (Revelation 2:2). They had put these pretenders to the test and Jesus commended them for it.

Praying in the Spirit - By Noel Chartier 6/28/2007
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18).
There is an old saying that states, “There are more things wrought by prayer than this world dreams of”. In the book of Ephesians, persevering prayer is the last of seven pieces of armour that Paul says we ought to put on in our spiritual battle against the enemy of our souls. In any battle it is important that communication lines with the Captain of our salvation are kept open. He has the greater view of the battle, and so we should report to Him frequently and wait for His instructions in all things. When the communication lines are broken, there is great potential for disaster.

The Untamed Tongue - By Noel Chartier 6/26/2007
In the book of Romans, Paul spoke of “both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:9-10). He then went on to say, “Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness” (v. 13-14). But Jesus said, “these signs shall follow them that believe … they shall speak with new tongues” (Mark 16:17). James said that no man can tame the tongue (James 3:8), but Jesus can. As the Lord told Moses long ago, when Moses questioned how he could be a spokesperson for God, knowing full well that his mouth was not capable to righteously represent the most high God, He said, “Who hath made man's mouth? … have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say” (Exodus 4:11-12). More...

The Proverbial Tongue - By Henry Morris 1/25/2006
"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise" (Proverbs 10:19). The book of Proverbs has much wise counsel concerning the use of the tongue. It contains, for example, no less than 27 sober warnings against speaking lies! There are also at least eight condemnations of gossiping. For example: "A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter" (11:13). More...

The Evidence for Jesus - By William Lane Craig 1/5/2006
Five reasons are presented for thinking that critics who accept the historical credibility of the gospel accounts of Jesus do not bear a special burden of proof relative to more skeptical critics. Then the historicity of a few specific aspects of Jesus' life are addressed, including his radical self-concept as the divine Son of God, his role as a miracle-worker, his trial and crucifixion, and his resurrection from the dead. 101 Scientific Facts & Foreknowledge 10/23/2005
Science means knowledge, and true science always agrees with the observable evidence. Scientific research continues to unfold the wonders and mysteries of our universe. Interestingly, there is one book that has anticipated many of these scientific facts. That book is the Bible. This booklet presents 101 scientific facts found in the Scriptures. Many of these facts were penned centuries before they were discovered. Scientific foreknowledge found only in the Bible offers one more piece to the collective proof that the Bible is truly the inspired Word of the Creator. How does this affect you? The last several pages provide the answer – you need to read them carefully. More...

What is the Unforgivable Sin? - By Noel Chartier 10/14/2005
Jesus said, “All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come” (Matthew 12:31-32). As a result of this statement by Christ many have come to wonder, what is the unforgivable sin? I can remember from my youth, having committed many sinful acts, and wondering if perhaps I had already committed this sin and was beyond salvation. After many years I finally did find the answer. At Ease in Zion - By Henry Morris 9/23/2005
"Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!" (Amos 6:1). God's nature and God's principles do not change. "For I am the Lord, I change not" (Malachi 3:6). If God was angry with those of His ancient people who were living in affluent ease while indifferent to the sin in the nation and in their own lives, must this not be true also in modern "Christian" America? Have evangelical Christians today become "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" (II Timothy 3:4)? One should at least raise the question when their churches become cathedrals and their homes become show places, when their music stirs their feelings but not their souls, when they spend more time in "rest and recreation" than with the Lord and His Word, and when they begin to allow "the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches [to] choke the word" so that they become "unfruitful" (Matthew 13:22). Things That Accompany Salvation - By Noel Chartier 8/14/2005
Are you a true believer or are you only deceiving yourself. The Bible tells us that there are “things that accompany salvation” (Hebrews 6:9). Do you know what they are? If not, here is a partial list with which you may “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” (2Corinthians 13:5). More...

Dangerous Counterfeits - By Henry Morris 8/14/2005
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5:21). Human beings are very gullible, and counterfeiting is a profitable occupation for many deceivers. But spiritual counterfeits are the most dangerous of all, and at times the most difficult to detect. There are many false gods, and this is the subject of the very first of the true God's Ten Commandments: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3). We are warned also to "Beware of false prophets" (Matthew 7:15) and "false Christs" (Matthew 24:24). There are those who preach "another Jesus" (II Corinthians 11:4), and many who come preaching "another gospel" (Galatians 1:6) rather than the true saving gospel of Christ. More...

A Tale of Two Kingdoms - By Dr. Peter Masters 6/24/2005
One of the greatest of all the changes in evangelical Christian life over the last few decades is in the attitude to worldliness. Slackness, even indifference, to worldliness came in first among shallower churches, then more recently among some of the best. Now, worldliness is regarded as an outdated and irrelevant concept which only overscrupulous and rather narrow-minded people worry about. Yet once it was seen as almost the number-one enemy of God's people. More...

Gay Marriage? - 2/12/2005
The following letter was written by brother Clinton Esser in response to the rapid decline we have been taking towards Sodom since the 80's, and to the recent campaign that is set to undermine the fundamental institution of marriage. It would do us well to review our current situation in this regard if perhaps our souls may be stirred afresh and realize how late in the hour it really is. The enemy would rather have us recline and slumber away but the Bible tells us, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith..." (1 Peter 5:8-9). More...

Searching for Moses - By David Down - 12/17/2004
By the traditional chronology of Egyptian history the 18th dynasty ruled from about 1550 to 1320 BC. According to Bible chronology the Exodus occurred about 1446 BC. But there is no evidence from 18th dynasty Egyptian records of a major disaster such as would have resulted from the 10 devastating plagues that fell on Egypt, or of the destruction of the Egyptian army during this period. Nor is there archaeological evidence for an invasion of Palestine under Joshua during this period.

The solution to this problem is a recognition that the chronology of Egypt needs to be reduced by centuries, bringing the 12th dynasty down to the time of Moses and the Exodus. When this is done there is found abundant evidence for the presence of large numbers of Semitic slaves at the time of Moses, the devastation of Egypt and the sudden departure of these slaves. The Mystery of Religion - By Noel Chartier - 12/12/2004
In the spiritual quest of many, questions have been pondered such as, why are there so many religions? Do they all possess a way to heaven? When they contradict one another, how can we know which one is right? As with all religions, they must have a beginning and to its very source we must trace our steps to see if they begin with man or with God. In this quest we shall go back 4500 years to find the "seed of religion" that has grown into this great tree that now spreads her branches abroad over the face of the earth. More...

Fourteen Points Identifying Mystery Babylon - By Noel Chartier - 11/13/2004
Prolific author and defender of the faith, Dave Hunt has written many books dealing with the Christian faith, primarily to correct error in the church. He has a ministry called The Berean Call, which he has taken from Acts 17:11 that states, “These [the people of Berea] were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Dave always challenges his hearers with this Scripture, not to take his preaching at face value but to be like the Bereans, whom doctor Luke commended for “search[ing] the Scriptures daily” to see if the teachings of the apostle Paul lined up with God's Word.
It is with this challenge that we will examine Dave Hunt's postulation concerning the identity of the woman of Revelation 17, with the name written on her forehead, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5).
Throughout Dave's writings and preaching ministry, he repeatedly describes “Fourteen Identifying Characteristics” that we can use to identify whom or what this woman represents. Dave makes no bones about his belief, that this Woman represents the Roman Catholic Church. In his book entitled, “A Woman Rides the Beast”, he puts forth his case to support his conviction.
We will do as Dave suggests, and analyze his fourteen point criteria with the Scriptures to see if Roman Catholicism is the perfect match in identifying “The Woman who rides the Beast”. However, we believe the Scriptures, when taken literally (as they should be), clearly point out that this woman is a symbol, not of Roman Catholicism, but to a “great city” whose antiquity stretches back to a time shortly after the Genesis Flood, whose impact profoundly changed the course of history up to our present day. The Tower of Babel: The Prototype for all Others - By Noel Chartier - 9/15/2004
"And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth" (Genesis 11:4). Throughout the Mesopatamian region, there are dozens of brick built towers whose remains today look like large molehills, having been eroded with time. Many archeologists have investigated these mounds such as Wolley, Rawlinson, Layard, among others, and have found a wealth of information about the early culture of this most ancient of places. These towers are most commonly referred to as ziggurats or pyramids.
We believe the prototype for all the towers in this region, and around the world for that matter, is the Tower of Babel, mentioned in the book of Genesis. The remains of this tower are believed by some to be located in the region of Borsippa (included in the photo section), which is today called Birs Nimrud, identifying it with that rebel Nimrod whose kingdom began with the building of Babel and its infamous Tower. The name Borsippa means, “tongue-tower”, reminding us of the time when “the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth” (Genesis 11:9). This is very graphics intensive, and will bring you to locations around the world, where we will find reproductions of that original tower built at Babel, whose remnants are still in existence today. These surely help our understanding to see how Babylon became "THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (Revelation 17:5). More...

Stars, Idols and Demons - By Noel Chartier - 9/15/2004
"And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol... Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven... Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them..." (Acts 7:41-43). What do stars, idols and demons have in common? What is of peculiar interest and somewhat of a mystery is how the term “host of heaven” is used in the Bible. The word “host” is usually used as a military term to describe a great army. In the Scriptures, a “host” may speak of men, or it may refer to angels and stars (Nehemiah 9:6, 1Kings 22:19, Luke 2:13). But “stars”, while they usually refer to those celestial luminaries that dot the night sky, sometimes refer to “angels”. Perhaps the usage of this term is used in this manner because both have their abode in heaven, but maybe the interchangeability of terms is more than just coincidence. More...

Whom To Pray For - By Henry Morris - 9/15/2004
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men" (I Timothy 2:1). Let no one ever say that he has nothing to pray about, or that he doesn't know how to pray in God's will, for it is always in the will of God to pray for other people! This is a great gift that any Christian can give, even if he is penniless or bedridden. There are none so poor as to be unable to afford such a gift, nor can even the wealthiest give a finer gift. FEEDING SHEEP OR AMUSING GOATS - By Charles Haddon Spurgeon - 9/15/2004
An evil is in the professed camp of the Lord, so gross in its impudence, that the most short-sighted can hardly fail to notice it. During the past few years it has developed at an abnormal rate, even for evil it has worked like leaven until the whole lump ferments. The devil has seldom done a cleverer thing than hinting to the Church that part of their mission is to provide entertainment for the people, with a view to winning them. From speaking out as the Puritans did, the Church has gradually toned down her testimony, then winked at and excused the frivolities of the day. Then she tolerated them in her borders. Now she has adopted them under the plea of reaching the masses. More...

Where did all the water for the Genesis Flood come from? - By Noel Chartier - 7/27/2004
In the early 1800's many began to abandon the Bibles doctrine of catastrophism and a young earth for the evolutionary theory of uniformitarianism with its slow gradual processes over millions of years. Many within Christian circles at that time began to assume that the mountain ranges that exist around the globe today must predate Noah's Flood. In disbelief they began to reason within themselves that there is simply not enough water to cover the mountains and they compromised their faith in the Word of God for the “Local-Flood” theory. Sadly, most seminaries and denominations still teach this compromise today. More...
