to Babel, the Bible teaches, all people spoke the same language. Mankind’s God given mandate was to multiply and fill the earth. However, their attempt to built a city and a tower to keep themselves united, caused the Lord to confuse their language and scatter them throughout the world. Thus the nations were formed, each with their own language, with two common factors being the Babylonian religion and culture.

With the Americas in focus, this book endeavors to conduct an historical investigation to unearth the evidence that so clearly connects the Mayan and Aztec cultures to ancient Babylon and, quite literally, to the entire human race.

If the Bible is true, what should the early explorers of America have expected to find among this distant and insulated civilization, isolated for over four thousand years? Would they remember their Creator, the Genesis Flood, the confusion of language at Babel? Would they have retained their Babylonian religion?

What Europeans found, despite language barriers, resoundingly echoes what the Bible stated all along: “every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses (or temples) of the high places … every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt” (2 Kings 17:29).

In our careful consideration of the evidence, we will examine those famous nations of the Americas, known throughout the world as the Mayans and Aztecs, and find, with eyes open wide, the startling similarities to that which the Bible has spoken.
