Vegetarianism,
Climate Change,
World Government
and Taxes
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” (1 Timothy 4:1-5)
There is a new trend that is ramping up in popularity today, that is vegetarianism. Animal rights activists such as PETA and Greenpeace are getting more sympathizers from the gullible through their shock and awe advertising campaigns. But the latest command to abstain from meats is all about “saving the planet”. It seems that they have found an effective way to further their agenda.
Consider for a moment whom we are dealing with here. “PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk said, "The smallest form of life, even an ant or a clam, is equal to a human being," and, "there really is no rational reason for saying a human being has special rights." She says, "A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy." She likens the death of broiler chickens to the Nazi's murder of Jews. In 1990, she told Reader's Digest that humans "are the biggest blight on the face of the planet." As elitists, though, she and her friends haven't volunteered to step up to the plate to decrease the human population.” (WOL Friday Church News and Notes)
Now, Greenpeace is a little more political, but all of the same mindset. They too are trying to get people to abstain from eating meats and their ideal dream would be for everyone to become vegetarian. They say that meat can be carcinogenic like “Glysophate” and that we ought “to reduce the weekly consumption of meat at least to half (as a start).” Did you catch that, “as a start”! It seems that their plan is to slowly but surely, wean you off meat all together. Their old tactics that targeted “ethical reasons (terrible conditions for raising animals, infringement of animal rights, industrial factory farms etc.)” is now taking a totally different approach and strategy. They now claim that “the reduction of the consumption of meat is severely needed for environmental reasons: wasting of natural resources, water and soil pollution, worsening of climate change, etc.” They state that, “Animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transport sector.” (Less meat, better for Everyone)
They claim in another article that “a diet heavy in meat... makes the planet sick. The livestock sector - raising cows, pigs and chickens - generates as much greenhouse gas emissions as cars, trucks and automobiles combined.” While they state, “We're not advocating that everyone adopt a “meatless” diet tomorrow... we all must develop “meat consciousness” and reduce the level of meat in our diets. Shifting to more plant-based foods is essential to avoid catastrophic climate change... and the health of the planet.” (Eating less meat, more plants helps the environment) So their shift in strategy from “ethical reasons” is now focusing on the “health of the planet” and how to “avoid catastrophic climate change”. They do not expect “everyone adopt a “meatless” diet tomorrow”; maybe not tomorrow, but knowing their past record, as they gain more political clout, meat will be out, if they have anything to say about it.
With the up and coming Paris Climate Change Summit, sponsored and hosted by the “United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”, expect more of this to come as this branch of the United Nations develops policy mechanisms to deal with climate change. For the elite, it is not really about “saving the planet”, it is about carbon taxes, whereby the United Nations can tap into this enormous amount of wealth to fund their global ambitions for world government. In the early days of the Roman Empire, the Roman Emperor found that this expansive kingdom was in need of a world tax, and “it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.” (Luke 2:1) Augustus was the ruler of the Roman Empire. It is interesting that Augustus' father, Julius Caesar, was worshipped as god. Augustus was also worshipped as god, but in some inscriptions he is called CAESAR DIVI FILIUS, Son of God, that is, Son of eternal Caesar.
Now the Bible does predict a world government in the last days. It will be a Satanic kingdom and its Caesar will be the “beast” otherwise known as the Antichrist. Let's go back to the time of the Caesars for a moment. Remember when Jesus was tempted for 40 days in the wilderness? “And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” (Luke 4:5-7)
OK, let's fast forward now to the “time of the end”. “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up... and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority... And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast... and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months... and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him...” (Revelation 13:1-8). Here we see another Caesar arise on the scene. He is called “the son of perdition” and “that Wicked” who shows “himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-10).
Today, I think one of the modes to help prepare the way for the Antichrist, for world government and for a world tax is through the Climate Change hoax. Perhaps this is what James was speaking of concerning the “rich men” of the last days saying, “Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud...” (James 5:3-4). This fraudulent tax will affect all nations and individuals. The “kings” and “rulers” (Psalm 2), the “elite” of this world, have formulated a way “that all the world should be taxed”, not just local or regional taxes, but a world tax in the guise of a carbon tax, and that, for such a noble cause, to “save the planet”.
But these speak “lies in hypocrisy” (1 Timothy 4:2), that is, they will have their meat and eat it too. What is a little extra tax for those who could never spend all their money anyway? Kind of reminds me of Al Gore, the climate crusader, who preaches cutting back on energy to save the planet from “global warming” yet he makes no effort to cut back on his enormous energy consumption, but justifies his horrendous power consumption by saying he maintains a “carbon neutral” lifestyle by buying “carbon offsets,” but the company that receives his payments turns out to be partly owned by, you guessed it, Al Gore. It appears that the rich will never go without. Even in the tribulation it appears that these luxuries for the wealthy will still be available, “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:6) The basic staples of life it seems will cost a fortune for the average man, but there will still be the luxuries of oil and wine for those who can afford it.
Many have looked to the Roman Catholic church as having fulfilled the prophecy commanding to “abstain from meats”. Roman Catholics are commanded to abstain from meats (or some other form of penitence) on all Fridays. Also, during the Lenten season they are required to abstain from meats with no penitential substitution (Code of Canon Law 1250-1252). Muslims are also command to abstain from certain meats and are quite religious about that, much like Hindus who cannot eat beef. These have certainly fulfilled their part, but perhaps it will be far greater than a couple of decrees from a few religions. We can see that there is a potential relationship with the command “to abstain from meats” and the “carbon tax” scheme, which helps prepare the way for one world government and Antichrist. Rather than just a few religions abstaining from certain meats on certain days, everyone will have to do their part, whether nationally (banning fossil fuels) or individually (abstaining from meats). All will be required to participate upon the pain of taxes. Sadly it appears that “them which believe and know the truth” will have by this time “depart from the faith” to go along with these schemes for the greater cause, to “save the planet”, rather than focusing on preaching the gospel for the saving of lost souls.
Now no earthly government can exist without the power to tax the people. Personal income tax, land tax, school tax, goods and service tax, and every other hidden tax, etc. These are all needed to fuel the various levels of government spending. But for a world government, I think a global “carbon tax” is just the beginning of this global government taxing. Eventually no man will be able to buy or sell without “mark of the beast”. Eventually this global tax will root out all who do not want to go along with “the man with a plan”, as one evangelist put it. “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16-17)
In those days, if you want to be part of this plan, if you need to “buy or sell”, not only will you have to receive the "mark of the beast", you will have to worship the beast as the “god of this world”, the new Caesar of a greatly expanded, worldwide, Roman Empire. And at that time, if one does not want to go along with the “New World Order,” he must be beheaded. In the end, who will this primarily be targeting? “...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands...” (Revelation 20:4). It will be those who witness for Jesus and keep the Word of God.
Nevertheless, the foolish schemes of men will all quickly come to nought, for at this time, Christ shall come to put down evil and destroy sinners out of the world, when “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). Then shall Jesus say, “those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me” (Luke 19:27). But those who did not go along with the “New World Order” scheme of things, “they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4). Be sure you have believed the gospel, be sure your name is written in heaven. Our lives in this world are just a vapor of smoke, like the flower that fadeth away, but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
This world and its schemes are fleeting away. Eternity is just around the corner. Be sure you are on the winning team and follow the Captain of our salvation, The Lord Jesus Christ.
Without doubt, there is a dangerous 'sustainability' agenda out there, but we must be careful to separate truth from political agenda. God's original diet for man was vegetarian according to Genesis. Actually vegan--no animals were killed for food. It wasn't til after the flood that meat was OK'd and its introduction began to cause man's lifespan to decline. We have a vegetarian digestive tract, intestines, bowels and teeth and will most likely not kill and eat animals in the new earth. So it would be helpful if you pointed out the political agenda without lumping God's ideals into it. He certainly HAS given us stewardship of the earth and the animals to care for--not to destroy. The church has failed miserably in the stewardship and care of the earth and animals. If you have ever been to meat processing plants you will see great atrocities--and we WILL be held accountable for inhumane treatment of God's creatures. Sadly Christians are often the worst polluters, etc. because they are simply waiting for 're-creation'. The church should have been leading the way in humane treatment of animals, clean water, etc. And when we failed, the causes were picked up by others.
I would have to disagree that it was the introduction of meat to man's diet that caused man's lifespan to decline. There are many who are vegans from a very young age and it does not seem to affect their lifespan. I know two vegans. The one man joined a cult who had a strict vegetarian diet. He told me he almost died. He lost great amounts of weight and till this day he is still very frail looking. It was only when he started eating protein powder that he at least stopped his downward spiral.
The other is a lady in her 50's. She is a lesbian and seems always to be sick with a cold or something else, and always looks very anemic. I noticed she is always cooking and continually eating because her diet just does not have the energy to keep things running. Both of these life's are not desirable, and perhaps their problems can be fixed, but both of these vegans have serious mental and spiritual problems.
What many, especially from the Christian scientific community believe concerning man's lifespan, is that it was reduced after the Flood due to environment. The Bible tells us, "the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished" (2 Peter 3:6). That world is gone. From a geological perspective, the world that then was was tropical. In the fossil record there are palm trees in Alaska, Coral beds in Hudson's Bay at Coral Harbor, Giant redwood fossils above the Arctic Circle, etc.
There is indication in the Bible that God originally created the earth with a water vapor canopy (Genesis 1:7) that kept the earth's weather stable in a greenhouse type of climate. It also would have kept out certain harmful radiation from the sun, all of which would be the more likely culprit for the reduction of man's longevity.
There is no empirical evidence that prove we have a "vegetarian digestive tract, intestines, bowels and teeth". That is just pure nonsense. God would not have commanded us to eat meat and not give us the tools to do so.
The one point I will agree with, is that when Christ returns and sets up His kingdom, He will restore all things, and once again, the wolf and the lamb shall dwell together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox (Isaiah 11:6-9).
Certainly it has been given by God that man, right from the beginning, should have dominion and subdue the earth. Not for selfish or greedy purposes, but to glorify God. You make it sound like man should have a sole mission to set up animal hospitals or something like that. Do not forget who "destroyed" (in your language) the very first animal. It was God, and He took the skins and covered the nakedness of the man and woman after they sinned. Since that time, man has been killing animals in sacrifice, and has been commanded by God to do so, that is, until the time appointed, when God sent His Son into the world, the perfect Lamb of God, to offer Himself up a sacrifice for the sin of the world. Since that time, there are no more offerings or sacrifice that can put away sin.
You may call treatment of animals at an abattoir "inhumane" and that is correct, because animals are not human. They are not made in the image of God with an eternal soul. God has given to man that "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." (Genesis 9:3) If you want to just eat herbs, I do not think God would condemn you, but what He will condemn is this pious attitude that contradicts His commandments.
Like Peter was told, when he saw his vision of "all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air", ..." Rise, Peter; kill, and eat." Peter tried also to resist His will, but God told him, "What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common." God has given to man that he should eat meats. Maybe one day, in the millennial reign of Christ that will change, but until then, what God has cleansed, do not call it unclean.
