Over 100 pyramids in the Shensi Province made of clay are now nearly stone hard. Estimates are 4,500 years old, but 1912 diaries of two Australian traders quote a Buddhist monk saying these pyramids are mentioned in the 5,000 year old records of his monastery as being "very old."
