Our Mexican Field Trip 2005

Day 10: Isla Aguada

Total Mileage: Approximately 5325 kms
Arrival: March 25, 2005 - 7:00 PM
Departure: March 26, 2005
Temperature High: 39 C

So far we went through the states Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tobasco, and today we arrived in Isla Aguada in the state of Campeche. We only stayed the night. It was pretty hot and sticky in the tent. We began to see alot of iguanas. Here is one that did not look both ways before he crossed the street.

Here is a ship that was beached just before the Bridge to Isla Aguada.

Here is the beach we camped beside. The owner of the campground, Thomas Boldo, spoke English. When I talked to him in the morning when we were leaving, I noticed his New World Translation Bible (Jehovah Witness) on his desk, and we had a 20 minute conversation. We could agree on almost everthing doctrinally, but he believed in "another Jesus" (2Corinthians 11:4), one who was not the Almighty God, God manifest in the flesh. His Jesus is just another creature that God created, who cannot save. He did give me his address, and I gave him some literature, and he is supposed to write.

Here is the bridge we had to cross to get to this location. It was about a mile long.
